The Heart Behind Our First Galentine’s with Our Events
Galentine’s Day will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Not because it sold out.
Not because it broke records.
But because it revealed something deeper.
This was my first event that didn’t sell out.
And I won’t lie — I was disappointed.
When you’re someone who pours your whole heart into creating experiences for women… you feel it when the numbers don’t hit the way you imagined. I had the decor planned, the partnerships aligned, the vision clear. I wanted the room packed.
But what I learned that day is this:
The women who were supposed to be in that room… were in that room.
And somehow, even without a sell-out banner, I still felt supported.
The laughter was real.
The conversations were intentional.
The candle-making was therapeutic.
The dancing was necessary.
The energy? Exactly what it needed to be.
Galentine’s wasn’t just a brunch.
It was the official introduction of Our Events.
It was the first time I stood up and said:
“This isn’t just a party. This is a space for us.”
A space for women to gather.
To dress up.
To unwind.
To connect.
To celebrate each other.
To romanticize life together.
And even though I had a moment of disappointment, what outweighed it was gratitude.
Because building something meaningful isn’t always about selling out the room.
Sometimes it’s about showing up anyway.
Sometimes it’s about trusting that you’re planting seeds.
Sometimes it’s about knowing the vision is bigger than one event.
And I still look forward to doing more things for us.
More brunches.
More curated experiences.
More intentional gatherings.
More moments where we choose joy on purpose.
I want to take a moment to thank the people who helped bring this vision to life:
✨ Karma Hair — thank you for sponsoring and supporting women who show up boldly and beautifully.
✨ Southern Martini Parlor — the bar service was top tier and added such a luxe touch.
✨ Unique Studios — our photographer and DJ who captured the moments and curated the vibe effortlessly.
✨ Lime Light PR Studio — thank you for your partnership and support.
✨ And my partner, Renada — thank you for believing in this with me and building alongside me.
Galentine’s may not have sold out…
But it sold me even more on the power of community.
And that? That’s worth everything.
This is only the beginning of Our Events.
And if you’ve been watching from the sidelines…
I hope to see you at the next one 💕
